the timeless trend of customization
Customization and personalized products: the future of retail.
By Caroline DeCarlo
July 19, 2018
With the growing impact of social media and the influencers that set standards for fashion, food, travel, beauty, and nearly everything else imaginable, trends have begun to catch like wildfire. While everyone loves to sport the latest trends, it is becoming increasingly more difficult to remain unique among all the sameness.
The recent trend of product customization allows consumers to adhere to popular styles while expressing their personality and sense-of-self. According to a study conducted by KPMG, three out of five consumers who have already bought an individualized product plan on purchasing more custom items in the future, and from the consumers who have not yet purchased customized products, they plan to do so in the near future with 43 percent hoping to see more customizable offers from companies. Furthermore, 55 percent of consumers who have bought customized products in the past were willing to pay a higher price than they actually did.
Through KicksBySammy, clients are able to customize on-trend products and tailor them to their personal style. Over the years, KicksBySammy has seen trends come and go with the requests for new and different custom products with each passing season. CEO and Creative Director Samantha recalls the most commonly requested custom items since the birth of KicksBySammy.
